Make Money Online With The Help Of Clickbank

mfleischnerAffiliate Programs

While doing some basic research online, I was surprised to find so few articles written about Clickbank. As one of the largest affiliate networks, Internet marketers have been making money with Clickbank for as long as I can remember. There are a number of other providers of affiliate programs such as commission junction, and paydotcom. These programs have a lot in common.

The concept of an affiliate program is rather simple. These programs bring together manufacturers or providers of informational products with website owners, marketers, and vendors who wish to resell their products.

There are a number of reasons why someone would want to resell a third party product or service. The real motivator is money but there are additional benefits as well. When serving as an affiliate and selling someone else’s product:

1. You don’t have to take inventory. As an affiliate, you don’t have to worry about buying the third party product, storing it, and then shipping it when you get a sale. Rather, you simply promote the product and receive a commission when someone that you refer buys from the manufacturer or originator of the product itself.

2. You don’t have to create promotional material. In today’s competitive affiliate marketplace, most product creators proactively create all the promotional material you need to sell their product. Banners, buttons, emails, and pitch pages are readily available and can be easily implemented on your website or blog.

3. You don’t have to invest any money. Getting started as an affiliate doesn’t require any cost. You simply sign up through an affiliate network and receive a publisher ID. When sales are made through your publisher ID, the affiliate site takes a small percentage of the sale. This is essentially how they make their money. The good part is that you don’t have to spend any money out-of-pocket.

4. You can select products that are closely aligned to your niche. If you have a website or blog that focuses on a specific subject, area, or niche, you can find products that compliment your site and are closely correlated to your content. When matching the appropriate products with the right audience, conversion rates increase.

5. You can earn a nice living from commission 24/7. As you know, the best part of doing business online is that the Internet is always open, 365 days per year. This allows you to make sales of third party products at anytime.

Getting Started

When I first began in Internet marketing, there wasn’t a lot of variety in the area of third party affiliate products to sell on my websites. As a result, I had to do online research, speak directly with vendors and often set up complicated tracking schemes in an effort to accurately track and record all sales being made. Since then, a lot has changed.

With the advent of affiliate networks, finding the right products to promote via your website or blog and getting up and running is very simple. To begin, visit one of the affiliate networks mentioned at the beginning of this article and sign up for a free account. Next, visit the market place and search for products related to your website’s niche. Once you’ve identified a product that is relevant, create a tracking link and place it on your website along with any assets (banners, buttons, etc.) that can be used to promote the product or service.

The key is to remember that each link or piece of creative that you place on your site needs to have your tracking link included. This is very easy to do and is often a matter of cut and paste depending on which affiliate network you’re using.

Each affiliate network offers support as well. Whether through live support, email, or some type of forum, you can get you most common questions answered quickly.

If you want to start making money online, then take a closer look at affiliate programs. It’s quick, it’s easy, and can add some money to your pocket.

How To Sell Information Online And Make Easy Money On Auto-Pilot

kthomas29Affiliate Programs

You’ve probably heard of Affiliate Marketing. It’s where you make money, a commission, when the customers you are directing to someone elses web-site purchase something from them.

Commissions generally run between 30% - 70%. Not bad considering you don’t have to come up with products, deal with customer service or come up with an amazing sales letter to convert your browsers into paying customers! You just drive traffic.

I’m not gonna talk to you about affiliate marketing in this article.

I want to tell you about something even cooler. It’s PLR and MRR. Here’s what I stumbled across…

There are people selling packages that include everything you need to get started in your online career immediately.

Complete turnkey packages should include the following:

1) A product, usually an eBook. You should get it in Word and pdf. The Word version is your original. Here is where you add your name as author of the eBook. You may even get rights to change the name of the eBook if you want. More on that later. Once you make your changes and add your affiliate links, you reprint the eBook as a new pdf and instantly you have your own eBook to sell!

2) Resell Rights. This legally gives you up to 100% ownership of the eBook. The only limitations are what you are or are not allowed to change inside the eBook. There are different types of rights. The most common are MRR and PLR. I’ll explain the difference between the two below.

3) Pre-built website. It should include the squeeze page, index (homepage), sales letter, graphics, thank-you page including the download links.

4) Shortcuts on how to quickly get targeted traffic to your website.

5) Bonuses to give to your clients for buying from you.

Those are the essentials that you’ll need to get started and it’s what a good package will include.

Here’s how it works. You pay for the eBook with the resell rights. There are different rights, so it’s important you know exactly what rights you are purchasing. You don’t want to accidentally change something you didn’t have rights to change, that could get ugly.

MRR - Master Resell Rights
You can buy a product, and allow anyone who buys it from you to sell it, including selling the resell rights. This is best known as “Master Resell Rights”, or also “Generic Resale Rights”.

PLR - Private Label Rights
Basically, this allows you to change anything and everything. You can change the content of the eBook, the title, the affiliate links inside the eBook, the website content, sales letter. Everything! Or, you can leave everything as the professional designed it and simply add your name as the author, your paypal payment button and your affiliate links.

Each different level of resale rights generally comes at a different price point. That being said, the PLR is going to be the most expensive. Thats because you’re adding your own affiliate links and sending your backend sales links viral! You can make backend money off these affiliate links floating around the internet for months and even years!

There is free software available for download that will give you the ability to easily add your name and paypal payment button to your web-site.

Within just a few hours you can have your eBook ready, your website customized, your own domain name, web hosting and have it all online and ready to make easy money online.

Once everything is set up, this website will take orders, process payment and deliver the product on auto-pilot. Your maintenance will be very little.

It would be a financially wise move to have a blog on your website. You should blog at least something every day or two. This will help in your placement on the major search engines.

So next you need to drive traffic to your site. There are several inexpensive and even free ways to do this effectively. I will get into that in my next article.

Affiliate Marketing: What It Is and How to Get Started

jjarrettAffiliate Programs

Affiliate marketing is a situation where a person signs up with a merchant to sell the merchant’s products in exchange for a portion of the sale price. This sale is called a commission.

Merchants may also offer pay per click, where the affiliate is paid for each click through, or pay per lead, where the affiliate refers someone to the merchant’s site to complete a specific action, like completing an application.

For those who don’t want to create or sell their own products, marketing affiliate programs is an easy way to get started in business quickly.

With millions of products available on the internet to sell, there are a few things you want to consider first before starting your affiliate business.

1. What is your topic?

Before you consider anything else, you want to brainstorm your first topic. There are many ways to do this.

The search engines all have some type of site, like Google Trends, or Yahoo Buzz, to show you what the hot topics are. You may choose a hot topic, or you may want to do research on topics you are interested in.

I believe in choosing topics you are interested in because you will have to do some writing like product reviews and promotional materials. It’s easier to write about something you are interested in. Just make sure there is a market for the products you want to sell.

2. What types of products do you want to sell?

There are both digital and physical products available for sale on the internet. A digital product is an electronic type of product you download to your computer like an ebook or software.

The advantage of digital products is that they offer higher commissions than physical products. The problem here is that there may not be any digital products related to the topic you choose.

3. Will you build a website? If so, what type of website will you build?

There are lots of ways to build websites from creating a simple one page website for list building or offering a product review, to creating a blog or affiliate store using some type of script.

If you’ve never built a website before, then there are a few things to learn. You may consider building a blog on free sites like Wordpress or Blogger, but let me caution you here. Your site may end up deleted and then you’ve lost all of that content.

If you do decide to build a website, you’ll also need a domain name and web hosting. Do your research and get the most powerful web hosting possible for the price. You want tools like Fantastico to help you build your website and install scripts. This will make building your website a whole lot easier.

4. How will you promote?

It is easier to promote your affiliate business if you build a website, especially if you choose to write articles. The reason is that most article directories won’t accept articles that have affiliate links in the resource box.

The same applies to some free classified ad sites: some don’t allow you to use an affiliate link in your ad. That doesn’t mean there aren’t sites that won’t accept affiliate links. You will simply need to do a little research.

There are plenty of free ways to promote your new affiliate business if you have a website: search engine optimization, article writing, free classifieds, free ebooks, social marketing.

Consider what you like to do first. If you’re very social, you may find social marketing the way to go. If you like sharing information, consider articles. With free classifieds, it’s easy because classified advertising is something we are all familiar with offline.

Regardless of which technique you choose, remember to build your list so you may market to your visitors more than one time. This will help you recycle your traffic and get more from your traffic building efforts.

An Affiliate Mentor’s 2009 To-Do List

rtaylorAffiliate Programs

With a New Year, we often take a fresh look at the way we do things. This can be both in our personal and our professional lives. When it comes to affiliate marketing it should be no different. If you have a downline team, you must continually look at your role as an affiliate mentor.

The year 2009 is going to mean being creative in marketing your affiliate products. We are in challenging economic times and are in a recession. Those are the cold facts. However, does that mean you hide under a rock, or bury your head in the sand as a businessperson? No, it doesn’t.

It means you find ways to operate your affiliate business more efficiently. It also means you step up your efforts to promote your products and services, not curtail them. On top of all that you must step up your efforts to train your downline team properly. You are essential to their survival and vice-versa.

With that in mind, the following are some tips for effectively mentoring your downline team to success in 2009:

Open Door Policy

It’s imperative that you let your downline know you are available to them. As soon as you gain a new downline member, give them your personal contact information. If it’s an e-mail address, make sure it’s one checked frequently so you can respond to them promptly.

In addition, send messages to your downline encouraging their questions and input. This lets them know you’re concerned about their success, not just your own.

Flash: In Today’s Headlines

You are Editor-in-Chief when it comes to getting affiliate marketing news out to your downline. Is there a product upgrade on the horizon they should know more details about? Then you can supply them that news and add any details as you deem appropriate.

Does your downline team know about article marketing, how it all works? If not, then it’s up to you to inform them. Getting their article promotion campaigns in high gear is essential to their business.

Your job as an affiliate mentor is to let newbie’s know where the good article distribution services reside. Make sure you get the news hot-off-the-press out to your team concerning ways to build their business.

Class is in Session

This one is straightforward for 2009. If you have never done so in the past, now’s the time to institute training modules. Make a commitment for this New Year to train your downline in a systematic manner. This means thinking about, planning, scheduling, and doing the actual training.

Pick different marketing tactics you want to teach your team. Plan a lesson based on each tactic. Come up with a schedule for when each module will be taught.

Get that schedule out to your team and encourage them to attend, if the training will be via teleconferencing. Of course, you can engage in e-mail training and send out regularly scheduled newsletters or lessons on effective affiliate marketing.

Incentives

As an affiliate mentor, explain to your downline your affiliate parent’s bonus/reward program. Many affiliate marketers sign up for a program because they love the product and like the main commission offering. They sometimes forget to read further and look at what other monies can come their way for sales performance.

As a mentor explain to them the different levels of payment. Encourage them to be proactive to reach these levels.

In addition, offer your own personal incentives. Reward creative downline members who work hard and excel at promoting the program. Your commitment to reward them from your personal resources raises your credibility as a mentor.

Structure

One way to inspire your downline and discourage affiliate attrition is to implement some business structure. In so doing, you add extra professionalism to your affiliate business.

Structure would be in the form of regular monthly meetings with your downline. This is different from the casual open door policy. It’s different from your planned training sessions as well.

Regular meetings with an agenda, focus on affiliate marketing within a team framework. They are organized meetings that encourage give and take when it comes to ideas. These meetings have a touch of a corporate aura to them, which is where the professional persona comes in.

Planned meetings, with a purpose, via conference calls, online video, or text chats, are useful. Use them to show your downline you operate as a real business. Use them to show them that you are committed to their success and have the structure in place to help them.

There you go; the above are some ideas for mentoring your downline effectively. The New Year is your opportunity to run your affiliate business in a new manner. Run with all, or some of the above, and inspire your downline to grow their businesses in 2009.
