Affiliate marketing isn’t just about driving traffic to a site. It’s about getting people whom you know beyond a doubt need what you have to offer to click through to the main website using your affiliate link. This requires a bit more finesse than simply blasting a url across the web.
The best affiliate marketing promotion is a combination of article marketing, email marketing, list building, and networking, with a little bit of relationship building and possibly some e-book marketing thrown in for good measure. There are many ways you could combine all of this together, but the best affiliate marketing promotion is laid out step by step below.
1. Develop a free e-book. This book should provide useful information on your niche topic, and should directly lead the reader to feel a need for your affiliate product without true hard selling. This can be done by pointing out that certain tasks, issues, or problems will be most easily solved or performed with the help of this item or service. You can then place in text links where appropriate to your affiliate sites.
2. Set up an autoresponder and develop a website. This can most easily and cheaply be done using Aweber. As you set up the autoresponder you will receive html code that can be placed into your lead capture page or squeeze page. This allows you to gather a name and email address for every visitor to your website. If people want your free e-book, they will put in their information. You can then set up your autoresponder to send out an email as soon as they have subscribed, telling them to confirm their email address to receive their free e-book. After they have confirmed, the autoresponder will automatically spit out another email that you will write, including the link for downloading the e-book.
On this website page you will allow them to download the free e-book. You can also invite them to a free e-course that you have written so that you can get them used to receiving e-mails from you. You can then utilize email marketing to send out a series of emails introducing them to your affiliate marketing products. 3. Write and submit articles to article directories. The articles should be informative and point to a need for your free e-book. Each article will end with your author resource box, which should include your affiliate marketing link as well as your free e-book offer and link.
