How Do You Become A Clickbank Affiliate?

Graham_McKenzieAffiliate Programs

It is easier than you might think to become a clickbank affiliate. Anyone who owns a website and has the desire to earn extra cash will benefit from using clickbank programs. You need to sign up for the program and you will be required to give some information. Your website URL will be needed upon signing up for them to determine you are an actual website owner.

After the sign up process you will be able to start your selection of member sites to become an affiliate for. There is no rule on how you choose, you can select just one or you may prefer to be an affiliate for several members. For each member site you choose to be an affiliate for you will be given a banner or a link to place on your web page that will direct traffic to the member when it is clicked.

Each member will offer various methods of payouts. You need to understand the different pay out meanings to know how you will be paid. Pay-Per-Click programs will earn you a specified amount for every click the link or banner receives from your site the only requirement is that each daily click is unique. The Pay-Per-Lead programs are paid out from member websites when traffic is directed from your site to theirs that ends in a good lead, This may require the user to join a program or fill out their information. The Pay-Per-Sale programs will only pay out when the traffic generated from your site to the members results in a purchase.

The amount of the commission earned is based on the type of payout as well as what the member wants to offer. You may find some members who will offer a two tier program that will pay out for the traffic you generate as well as earn you a commission on the traffic generated from any affiliates you referred to the member site.

It is best to find member sites that have a similar topic or theme that your website does. If your website is optimized for your own topic or theme then by choosing members of that same realm will prevent you from having to optimize your site any further. When you are recruiting other affiliates it is a good practice to look for ones that also have a familiar theme or topic on their websites to generate targeted traffic.

Member sites benefit from the programs through promoting their sites in the search engines with the increased number of backlinks they receive. The members also gain the extra traffic that is generated from your site and their sales profit can potential go up. Your only requirement is to place the banner or the link on your website that leads to the members website.

Does Clickbank Offer A 2 Tier Affiliate Payout

Graham_McKenzieAffiliate Programs

There are many programs available on the internet that use the theme of clickbank for gaining wealth. The ease of finding affiliates that will promote your products or the ability to become an affiliate and sell other peoples products and earn a commission is very attractive to some people.

Clickbank offers several options for their members and affiliates to earn money. The placement of a banner on an affiliate site will earn commissions for that affiliate when someone clicks the banner and is led to the member site to make a purchase. Some members will offer pay per click programs that require no purchase and others offer a two tier program that enables the affiliate to make even more cash.

The pay per click commissions are the easiest to earn from, you simply place the banner on your site and for each unique click to the members site each day you earn a commission. The pay per sale programs will require that the user not only clicks from your site to the members but that they also make a purchase there. The two tier programs allow affiliates to refer other websites to the members and once they become affiliates you will earn a commission off everything they make as well.

The two tier programs offer a way to earn the most money since there will be a larger pool of traffic generated to the member site. However the program is set up to pay out for your affiliation it will pay out in the same manner for all your recruits.

The pay per click pay outs as well as the pay per sale pay outs are easily beneficial to an affiliate using the two tier payout programs. The payouts will be the same for the recruits as they are for the original affiliate. So if you are getting paid per click and you recruit another affiliate for that member site they will also be getting paid per click and you will earn a portion of their earnings.

The members offer these commissions to affiliates for several reasons. The main reason is to gain page rank with the search engines. The more backlinks they have the more valuable the search engines will see their site, so you placing a link on your page will greatly affect their rankings. They also use the affiliate programs to gain more attention for their products or just to increase the web traffic to their sites.

The more closely your website is optimized for the member site the more luck you will have with earning commissions. If your website has nothing to do with the site banner you place on your page then chances are the traffic that is being directed to your site will have no interest in the members site. You need to ensure that the site members you choose are at least related to your site in some way to enable the traffic to be targeted for the member site and not only yours.

Big Red Easy Button - Myth Or Fact?

mikepaetzoldAffiliate Programs

Affiliate marketing is often sold as the ultimate big red easy button. Go find a product at one of the huge affiliate sites like Clickbank and send traffic to the sales page with your affiliate link. Collect huge checks over and over. Only do that and it is a myth.

Smart marketers know it takes more than just traffic to be a successful affiliate. Smart marketers create a system of some type to promote affiliate products. List building and follow up is always at the center of their system.

It usually consists of a free giveaway of some type or what I call an ethical bribe to get permission to follow up with those people. This can be a free report, an audio interview, a video, an e-course or a combination of any or all of the above.

This requires having an autoresponder and a 3 page web site system to get the subscriber on to your list.
You need to create a follow up series to promote the product on a continuing basis. This can be tied in to more free reports, videos or just training to help your subscriber see the value of the product you are promoting.

This is necessary because most people won’t buy the first time they see a product. It may not be the right time. It may be something that they are not quite ready for. That is one of the reasons that even the best sales letters rarely convert at more than 1-2% even with targeted traffic.

Despite that you will see some affiliates that can generate 3, 4 or even 5 times that average conversion because of the relationship that they have built with their subscribers. The follow up series allows you to do just that - build the relationship with your subscribers.

You can see how powerful this can be.

Now the disadvantage of this is the part they skip on all of the hyped up sales letters. It takes effort or that bad 4 letter word - WORK. It does require you to either have some skills or the cash to outsource processes.

You will need hosting and the ability to create web pages. If terms like HTML, FTP and PHP make your eyes glaze over you are in for a learning curve.

You will need an autoresponder to automate the follow up for you. You will need to understand how to use that system.

None of these are quite like rocket science and most people can pick them up easily. It can be daunting to get it started. Once started you need to test and tweak the system until you get it operating properly.
Do it once then you need to rinse and repeat the process.

Create these systems and you will have the proverbial big red easy button. Just send traffic and collect the cash.

To cut your effort and learning curve check out the premade affiliate systems including the ethical bribe and follow up series ready for you to just send traffic at The Clickbank Pirate .

Promotional Tools and Support for Your Affiliate Marketing Business

rtaylorAffiliate Programs

Online businesses created entirely from affiliate programs are not a new concept. They have become one of the most popular and easiest business models to follow. Setting up an affiliate marketing business is as simple as setting up a website and promoting it.

The monetary aspects of the business are enough for some entrepreneurs to jump in feet first. Others take a more scrupulous look and choose a less spontaneous path. No matter which type of entrepreneur you are, affiliate marketing might be for you.

Banners

Banners are graphic representations a company uses to promote products and services. Merchants utilize a variety of graphics and banners to advertise and promote. Once an affiliate partnership has been established, the affiliate marketer may make use of all of the promotional resources the merchant has to offer.

Text Links

Text links are easy to read and place on websites. Expert marketers hired by merchant companies research and test a variety of text links before releasing them for use by affiliate marketers. Text links may be used as-is or modified to fit in the body of an article or blog post in most cases.

Link Building

A successful link building campaign is one that creates relevant links back to your website. According to Google, Yahoo and Ask.com, not all links carry the same weight. Relevant links are categorized differently than non-relevant links.

Links on websites that do not relate to the content on your website are not considered relevant. On the other hand, links on websites that contain similar content are relevant and are indexed more favorably. Relevant links raise your website’s page rank and search engine results placement.

Building links is as simple as making comments on relevant message boards and blogs. Creating that type of community relationship or friendships online is a great way to pre-sell products and services. Consumers often make purchases based on the recommendations of others they trust.

Message Forums

Message forums or message boards are a great way to create a sense of community and friendship. People looking for product reviews often base the decision to make a purchase on the reviews of acquaintances they make on blogs and forums. Place a link to your website in your forum signature.

Blog Comments

Commenting on relevant blogs increases the number of links to your website. Relevant links build page rank and SERP. Those comments also help build a sense of community and knowledge.

Reading relevant blogs help increase your knowledge base and provide resources you may not recognize immediately. Posting blog comments is one of the most popular ways to create a sense of trust and product knowledge. Comments allow you to communicate with others and spread your knowledge about the products and services you promote.

Promotional Tools

Merchants want marketers to succeed because your success brings their success. They provide promotional tools that are tested and proven viable. Text links and banners they provide have been thoroughly researched for clicks and conversions.

E-mails from the merchant’s marketing staff are chock full of information about the many uses of text links, banners and other promotional tools they offer. E-mail newsletter templates often include specific areas to place ads of every kind. Ad placement is just as important as the content.
