What To Look For When Recruiting More Affiliates

MysterioAffiliate Programs

Getting more affiliates is indeed a challenging job. Vendors need affiliates who have some experience in the Internet marketing domain, and are dedicated to their work. An affiliate brings in business for the vendor. While it’s difficult for a vendor to single handedly publicize his products and services, by working with affiliates he can reach a wider audience.

Affiliates are crucial for the business of vendors who need to reach many people, and sell a large volume of products in a niche market where competition is stiff. An affiliate program gives vendors many choices, and vendors should know how to get the best out of their affiliate programs. Getting more affiliates is not the only challenge. You should also look for the right kind of affiliates. Many online affiliate programs allow vendors to find the kind of affiliates they’re looking for.

Getting The Right Kind Of Affiliates

How do you look for the right kind of affiliate program, and find those specific affiliates who are dedicated. Getting more affiliates is useless unless you can find the type of affiliates who are willing to put in the effort to making their marketing a success. Affiliates should take their work seriously, and make a routine of going online in search of newer ways of promoting their products. Good affiliates know how to optimize their marketing campaigns.

Good affiliates also know how to get huge web traffic to their websites. Because their investments ride on the sales made, and by getting more affiliates to invest in the product. Not only that, but they must make sure they know how to invest appropriately.

It’s not easy getting more affiliates if your product has been newly launched, or doesn’t have a brand value. In that case, start with affiliates who are new to the market as well, because they’ll be more willing to risk on those products without a brand name.

Look for affiliates who have their own newsletters. These newsletters should offer high quality content to their subscribers. The articles on the newsletters should be interesting. Try getting more affiliates who know something about search engines.

The entire Internet marketing industry depends on search engines. While beginners may not have much idea of marketing using search engine optimization, affiliates who are not new to the domain, know how to market using search engine rankings to their advantage.

Affiliates should also take their jobs very seriously. Many people join affiliate programs under the impression of earning money easily from the comfort of their home. While this belief isn’t wrong, it’s not correct either. Affiliates need to put in some effort and do their homework, before they can sit back and watch orders for products pour in.

With so many affiliates joining affiliate marketing programs every day, getting more affiliates to promote your products isn’t difficult. But you need to be careful to sign on affiliates who have the drive, patience and understanding to promote your products well.

How To Build A Killer Squidoo Lens For Marketing Online

josh_bradleyAffiliate Programs

Squidoo is quickly becoming a great way to market a business online and earn income via affiliate programs. In case you don’t know, Squidoo is a free resource that allows anyone to build web pages (referred to as “lenses”) about anything and everything. From an Internet Marketing perspective, these lenses can be extremely search engine friendly and drive massive traffic to your website.

Here are 10 strategies to build a great Squidoo lens that will bring traffic and money your way.

1. Make sure you completely fill out your entire Squidoo profile. This includes adding an interesting bio about yourself and a photo that represents you. Doing this will let people on Squidoo know what you’re about and encourage them to read more of your lenses

2. The name you choose for your lens is very important. Your title needs to be unique and catchy rather than bland and generic. The title also needs to point out exactly what the page is about and should include search terms that people would use when seeking out the info you are providing.

For example, the title “Why Dalmatians Are The Coolest Dogs Ever!” beats the pants off “About Dalmatian Dogs”.

3. Write a quality introduction that is appealing and informative to the reader. Your intro should also contain keyword / search terms in order for the search engines to recognize you. Remember that the first line of your intro is often what shows up in the search engines so make sure that it displays your purpose of the lens and targeted keywords.

4. Write killer content that people will enjoy. If you lens lacks content, doesn’t entertain or doesn’t inform people than nobody is going to want to read it. Pick subjects that you know something about and share your experiences. If people see you are excited that will get them fired up too. As always, don’t forget to include your keywords and search terms throughout the copy but make sure you don’t go overboard with this (ie. keyword spamming).

5. Include targeted links to related content. Remember that search engines notice not only who is linking to you, but also who you are linking to. Make sure that when you do link to related websites you use targeted words and phrases as your links. For example, if you are writing about Mini Coopers your outgoing links should say something like, “For more info, check out this website on Mini Coopers” instead of just “Click here”. You can also add Amazon and other modules that can help with this.

6. Don’t forget the graphics. Graphics will help break up your content and encourage people to continue reading.

7. Make sure that you tag your lens with 10 to 30 phrases and keywords that people might search for when looking for your topic.

8. Provide a variety of content. Large blocks of text, ads, graphics, etc can easily lose your reader’s attention. Mix it up and spread your lens out.

9. Encourage people to come back to your lens by providing a guestbook and poll. You also want to update or change your content every once in awhile which will help you with the search engines.

10. Make sure you proofread before you publish. Grammar and spelling do matter so utilize your spellchecker and read through your content a few times before you go live. It’s also a good idea to have others read your stuff over to catch anything you might have missed.

So now all that’s left for you to do is take action and start Squidooing! By putting all these strategies to use it won’t take long until you are enjoying targeted traffic to your website compliments of your new Squidoo lenses.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose

rdokoyeAffiliate Programs

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

Why Would You Start A Work From Home MLM Business?

writerrosAffiliate Programs

It is no longer a unique thing to set up an online home business. In fact, it is possible that you already know someone who has a work from home mlm business or makes money through network or affiliate marketing. Literally thousands of people every month look for ways to make money from home. Why has it become so popular, and what might be the reasons to begin a stay at home business?

The idea of working for oneself is a very attractive one, and has been for many years. However, up until recently the opportunities for self employment have been limited. Most traditional businesses need capital and for most people the need to raise the money necessary has put the idea out of the question.

Network marketing has been available offline for several years, but in the last decade the internet has made it possible to run a network marketing business without the need to buy, store or deliver stock. Furthermore, it is possible to start an online business for a very low investment. Multi-level marketing (or mlm) and affiliate marketing have become extremely popular part-time and full-time business opportunities.

It is not surprising that people who are fed up with the 9-5, or who feel insecure about their jobs in the current financial climate, should start looking to the internet to find opportunities to make money from home. There is also the attraction of spending more time with your family, avoiding the daily commute and the possibility of earning far more than you ever could in your job.

If these reasons appeal to you too, you might feel tempted to go online and start looking at what’s available. If you type a phrase such as “work from home mlm business” into the search engines, you will find lots of sales letters, blogs and articles inviting you to join all kinds of business opportunities.

Most of these will probably be legitimate, some of the claims will be exaggerated, and a few will be downright scams. For this reason it is very important that you are very careful about choosing your business opportunity, and that you do your research properly.

Unfortunately, a high number of people become dazzled by hyped up advertising and promises of overnight riches and jump in without thinking whether these promises are realistic and without doing any research. These people become quickly disappointed, and some will then give up within a couple of months, blaming the whole industry for being one big scam.

You do not need to be put off by this. The important thing to remember is that you are setting up a business, and just because you are not spending as much money as a traditional business this does not mean that you should not put just as much planning and care into your choice of opportunity.

There are many legitimate online businesses. You need to use your common sense and do not allow yourself to be swayed by hyped up advertising. A basic rule to remember is that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Before you start, sit down and think about what you want out of your business, and what kind of business you are going to have. Think about your interests and what you enjoy doing. There are many different kinds of online businesses in all kinds of areas, including health, travel, personal development, technology etc, and it is very important that you choose business opportunities that you will enjoy using and selling.

Once you have a clear idea about your goals, and the kinds of online businesses that would interest you, then you can go online and do your research. The best way to do this is by reading articles or visiting forums where people share their own experiences, and you can find out which are the best programs.

If you start off by treating your work from mlm business as a proper business that you will work at and build over a period of time, you will get off to the best start. If you believe that you will be rich within a month, you will be disappointed. No business that I know of is likely to do this, but with determination and effort, you will find an interesting and fun way to work at home which will reward you in years to come.
