Ways To Make Online Affiliate Income With Your Home Internet Business

NuguAffiliate Programs

Are you looking for ways to make additional affiliate income? Affiliate marketing has become so popular so here we look at various ways you can add additional streams of affiliate income to your home internet business website.

1. You will find that most home internet business marketers earn affiliate income from selling products on their site. These can be physical products or digital products. You will earn commissions on every sale with digital products you. Affiliate merchants abound on the internet and they are all looking for internet marketers to sell their products for them.

2. Another way to earn affiliate income is by selling advertising in a pay per click program. A good example would be Google Adsense which offers a program where you earn income every time someone clicks on an ad that you place on your website.

You will be rquired to place html on your site, provided by Google Adsense, which displays relevant advertisers based on the theme of your web page. This is a very easy way to earn an extra stream of affiliate income from your home internet business website.

3. Selling leads is another way to generate affiliate income. Again you just have to join a merchant affiliate program and place banners or text link ads on your website that point to a lead capture form. Every time somebody fills out the lead capture form you will earn a commission.

4. Another popular form of earning affiliate income is two tier affiliate marketing, where you recruit affiliates and earn money on their sales. Social networking is extremely popular and two tier affiliate marketing ties in well with that. You can make good affiliate income as a two-tier marketer If you are able to teach people to duplicate what you are currently doing.

5. Joining affiliate marketing programs that offer residual income may appeal to you if you don’t want to work for the rest of your life. For as long as a customer remains subscribed to a program you will earn residual income over and over. It just takes one sale to generate a stream of regular affiliate income.

A good example of residual income programs is Niche membership sites and they are extremely popular right now. Membership sites offer their members training or given them access to information products on a monthly basis, so they can turn around and put what they have learned into practice, or create new products of their own.

This is a great way for you to earn affiliate income over and over by selling memberships to these types of sites. As many membership sites tend to have good retention rates, you are assured of affiliate income on an ongoing basis. Residual income is a great way to make money as an affiliate marketer.

Residual income affiliate programs are also offered by some website hosting companies. People who sign up for website hosting services very often remain with the company for months or even years, so this often provides a steady source of residual income for the affiliate marketer.

Here we will look at just a few of the many ways that a home internet business can make affiliate income. They also give you the opportunity to offer your website visitors a good variety to choose from while you earn multiple streams of affiliate income.

The Re-Emergence Of Google Cash

kgmarkdAffiliate Programs

It happens every time, Goggle sneezes and internet marketing catches a cold. The last sneeze was in December of 2005 and by mid last year the internet was reeling with flu. That December, the official Adword blog warned of an update in its algorithm that was going to affect PPCs landing pages. Adword is the Pay Per Click (PPC) arm of Google. PPC on the other hand is the bidding system of advertising used by the major search engines to sell adverting space. The price is set by competitive bidding and the advertiser only pays if a visitor clicks the advert and visits their website hence the name. The page to which the ad directs you in the advertiser’s website is what is called the landing page.

The blog post titled “New Addition To Quality Score” detailed the latest addition to the algorithm that implemented the new landing page quality score. Though quality score was nothing new in Adword, it previously only affected the quality of advertisement. For example if one wrote an advert about “atkins diet” and bid for a keyword like “plus size lingerie”, the quality score was considered high as long as the advert was getting clicked on. A high quality score always inclines you to paying less for a bid as Google finds you more relevant. With the update, it was expected that your keywords, your advert and your landing page be consistent.

This then would mean that in the case mentioned above, the quality score would drop as the landing page was considered not well related to the keyword. Indeed this was a real life scenario where adverts on weight loss were converting sales on the keyword “plus-size lingerie”. With the update, prices for weight loss ads to this keyword were jacked up as high as ten times making the keyword instantly unprofitable. Google had sneezed and the domino effect christened “Google Slap” was here. The resulting effect nearly six moths after it implementation caused such an out cry especially among those that pre-dominantly buy their web visitors. One such victim was a business model popularized by Chris Carpenter known as “Google Cash”.

Google Cash is a business model that entirely depends on PPCs. It is probably the fastest and may be the easiest way to make money online. All one need is to join a commission paying affiliate program, a credit card and an adword account. With these three you could be making money in less than an hour. Its success or failure depends on how well one can mange their keywords and bidding. But with the landing page quality score it looked for while like “Google Cash” was coming to an end. However nearly a year since the “Slap”, Google Cash is making a come back, albeit sophisticated. Starting next week we look at how to make money using PPCs as well as the Google Cash method.

Squidoo: 3 Key Approaches To Affiliate Marketing On Squidoo

ronpassAffiliate Programs

There are three key approaches to Squidoo Affiliate Marketing that I call (1) the Squidoo Campaign Method, (2) the Squidoo Turnover Method and (3) the Squidoo Authority Site Method. While two or more of these approaches can be pursued together, typically a Squidoo affiliate marketer will focus on one of them in the first instance. I discuss each of the approaches in turn in this article.

1. Squidoo Affiliate Marketing: the Campaign Method

The fundamental approach here is to launch a series of campaigns around high selling affiliate products (e.g. Clickbank e-Books). Each campaign involves a number of Squidoo lenses focusing on a single product and supported by article marketing and other affiliate marketing strategies.

Some of the tactics entailed in this method may seem counter-intuitive for Squidoo marketers but they have proven very effective for a number of Squidoo lensmasters who make a substantial income from the Campaign Method.

The Squidoo Campaign Method involves a very specific approach to Squidoo lens design and to article marketing, all aimed at increasing exposure to organic search.

2. Squidoo Affiliate Marketing: the Turnover Method

The Squidoo Turnover Method involves creating as many lenses as you can, focused on diverse products that are selling well. So people who adopt this approach will have from 200 to 1,000 (or more) lenses, each focusing on different affiliate products or services. The basic idea here is that $10 revenue per lens per month multiplied by the number of lenses leads to a substantial income. So if you have 300 lenses earning on average of $10 per month each, you will earn $3,000 per month.

This requires you to create a very large number of lenses and to keep innovating to make each lens an effective selling platform. There will be some common elements to the lenses to facilitate sales but the lens design needs to reflect the nature of the product or service.

One of the challenges of this approach is that it lacks the critical mass of lenses and exposure that can be achieved with the Squidoo Campaign Method which involves a number of lenses focused on the same product.

However, there are a number of Squidoo lensmasters who are using this approach very effectively to earn a significant affiliate income through Squidoo. They tend to develop their own signature design over time to make it easy for them to create multiple lenses.

3. Squidoo Affiliate Marketing: the Authority Site Method

The Squidoo Authority Site Method is characterized by depth and breadth of coverage of a particular topic or issue. The basic principle here is that as you demonstrate your expertise, people will come to you - a form of magnetic marketing. This approach encapsulates the Law of Attraction.

Squidoo Authority Sites are consistent with the “pull marketing” approach whereas both the “Campaign Method” and “Turnover Method” are basically “push marketing” strategies.

Building an authority site on Squidoo is very different from the other two methods. Here you are not trying to “trap” the reader into staying on your site but encouraging them to explore other sites through the links on your lens. Your primary focus is on a single site (even though this may be supported by other related sites). In consequence, your marketing efforts will differ in intensity and focus as you set about establishing your expert profile on the Internet.

The possibility of adopting three different affiliate marketing approaches on Squidoo shows the flexibility and diversity of this platform. I recommend that you adopt one of these methods in the first instance. Then, when you have mastered one of the Squidoo affiliate marketing methods, move on to another method.

Secrets of Increased Website Traffic

councilAffiliate Programs

Search engines have evolved over the years. Now it is much more difficult to fool those little spiders. If you want to achieve higher page rankings and get more traffic from the engines, give them what they are looking for “Real Content”. Yes they are still looking for keywords, but don’t over do it.

You can have just the right amount of keywords on a page. This is less than 1% of your main keyword for that page. For example, if your page had 200 words you should not use your main keyword for that page more than twice. Additionally, search engines will overlook pages with less than 125 words on it. They also give extra points if you use your main keyword in a text link.

Keep it real, search engines are looking for the most relevant content they can find about search term. Real information and lots of it about a search term is like spider bait. Wiki the encyclopedia is a prime example of this. Have you ever wondered why Wiki shows up so often on so many searches? The answer is simple; they provide the most or rank highly about many specific subjects.

Now that we understand the importance of content, it is equally important to understand the next biggie, human feed back. Yes, search engines have found a way to measure human reaction to your website. They measure how long a person stays at your site. The longer the better. If your site is confusing or overly crowded with advertising. More often than not, people leave in a hurry. If people find what they are looking for they stay longer.

Human feedback is not limited to time spent however. The search engines want to see links. A link from a directory is a good link, because directories are human edited. It is in the best interest of the directory not to link to poor quality sites. If they accepted poor sites, people would simply stop using their service. Their revenues would go down and soon they would be history.

So, directories are a good source of links. The more popular they are the more expensive they are. With the exception of DMOZ. The top directories like Yahoo, is the strongest link you can get and cost $299.00. But there are many that are quite reasonable and well respected directories to submitt to.

Additionally, search engines are looking for out going links to other websites as well as inbound links coming from quality websites. More human feedback from other site owners is a stamp of approval. If you can achieve these things, the next step is turning your high traffic into profits.

In conclusion, Search Engines award traffic to those sites that make them look good to their advertisers. It is their job to provide the best quality and most relevant search results. If you give them what they want, you will get TRAFFIC!
