High Ticket Vs Low Ticket Affiliate Programs

dreamteammarketingAffiliate Programs

Let’s start off by first defining the difference between a low ticket and high ticket program. This is pretty easy. When we say high ticket we are usually referring to programs that are above $500 dollars. These are the one that will make you think twice before you get involved because of the initial investment involved. Most of these programs will have some type of monthly fee but not all of them. When you see a high ticket program make sure you check to see what the monthly fee may be. If the monthly fee is going to be a problem for you then you may want to seek out a program that will not have this monthly fee attached.

So why the monthly fee you may ask. Most of these companies are going to charge this for one of two reasons. Reason number one would be to cover the cost of your website hosting. Which may or may not be a good reason. You have to determine whether this is a charge that you want to incur. Reason number two may be for residuals and hosting fee. Now this may suit those who are looking to make the upfront money from the sale and the back end or residual from the monthly fee. This definitely has its advantages. Some draw backs are not having that extra money to help advertise. Make sure that your high ticket program over delivers in the area of conversions. The web page should sell itself. If you going to spent big money on a high ticket item their page that tells all about the business should do most of the work. Your job should be mainly driving traffic.

Low ticket programs on the other hand are anything below the $500 level. These are considered as such because of the low entry price tag. They may sometimes have a monthly for the same reasons as above but the fee is normally much lower. With a lower ticket item your reasons for joining may be because you are just starting out and want to test the waters with something small before making the money commitment of the larger program. If this is the case your advertising budget can be a little more flexible. In addition if you don’t have a monthly fee then you can also add to your ad campaign.

So in the long run the amount of work that you have to do is about the same. To market a high ticket program whether you use free advertisement (cost you your time) or paid you will have to do the same amount of work. The only determining factors depend on how much money you want spend, how much experience you have, and what type of support your going to get.

Money can be made online. It takes the right support along with a natural longing to help others.

5 Search Engine Optimization Tips for Affiliates

jjarrettAffiliate Programs

Search engine optimization is really no different for an affiliate website than it is for a website where you sell your own products and services.

If you build a content website, search engine optimization is definitely a consideration because it can bring you lots of targeted traffic, and SEO isn’t really hard to do. Concentrate on the basics, and you’ll get plenty of targeted traffic from the search engines.

Here are five steps you can take to optimize your affiliate site for the search engines.

1. Choose the right keywords.

Although it might seem pretty cool to get ranked really high for two word keyword phrases for a keyword search term, the traffic won’t be as targeted.

General keyword search terms won’t really help you reach those you are trying to reach. If you want to get the most out of your search engine optimization campaign, then use keywords with at least 3 to 4 words. These keywords are more targeted and will get you more targeted traffic.

2. Build backlinks.

Backlinks are an easy way to raise your rankings in the search engines. The more backlinks you have pointing back to your site, the higher your site will rank.

Keep in mind though that the sites you link to must be relevant to your site. It’s OK to link to general directories. The most relevant links come from sites that complement yours.

For example: if you own a gardening site, and you’re trying to link to advertising sites, you’re wasting your time.

3. Submit to major search engines.

There’s a lot of debate in the search engine community on whether or not you should submit to the major search engines: Google, Yahoo, and MSN, or just wait and let them find you.

It depends on whether or not you want to start getting your site indexed in hours or wait months to be found.

The key is to create a sitemap. Submit your sitemap to the major search engines, and they’ll start indexing your site. You still want to do the other techniques, like backlinks, but once you submit your sitemap, you really don’t have to worry about submitting again. Check to make sure your sitemap is error free. Google will tell you. If you have errors, fix them. After that, indexing is pretty automatic.

4. Write content.

Content for an affiliate site is slightly different than for a site where you offer your own products. With an affiliate site, you not only want to write articles on your topic, you want to write product reviews.

Give honest reviews of the products you are offering. Show how they solve a problem. Give as much information as possible to help the buyer make a decision.

Other forms of content to consider are videos, audios, a blog, and a FAQ.

5. Add dynamic content.

Dynamic content updates on your site automatically. Usually it is in the form of IFrames, Javascript or RSS Feeds.

If you want dynamic content that is search engine friendly though, stick with RSS feeds. Many content management systems now allow you to add the feeds, and these systems handle the display. If your website doesn’t handle feeds, there are plenty of free scripts available to display feeds for you.

Search engine optimization doesn’t have to be difficult. Stick to “White Hat” techniques (techniques the search engines accept), and you can rank well in the search engines. You’ll also get targeted traffic.

5 Blogging Tips for Marketing Affiliate Programs

jjarrettAffiliate Programs

Blogging allows you to do several things with affiliate programs: build an easy website, create multiple streams of income, and add value to the product by offering more information.

You don’t need to be a webmaster to build one either. Sites like Blogger and Wordpress.com allow you to build simple blogs that look good and are search engine friendly. Because these sites also rank well in the search engines (Google owns Blogger), you may have high page rank for your site as well as high rankings in the search engines for your topic.

Below are some easy ways for you to get more from your affiliate blog:

1. Write product reviews.

Readers love product reviews. The reason is that product reviews provide more information on the product or service you are offering. It’s also an opportunity for you to create a greater desire for the product or service you’re offering. You have an opportunity to really show how the product can solve a problem.

2. Offer additional information/articles on your topic.

You don’t have to write product reviews all of the time. In fact, that would be boring for you and boring for your readers.

Other types of information you can use are articles and news about your industry. Google Alerts is an easy way to find out what is happening in your industry, and you’ll never have writer’s block.

3. Add ads to your blog.

Ads are an easy way for you to generate an additional stream of income. Once you add the ad code to your site, you don’t have to bother with it anymore unless you change the template for your blog. Then you may want to change your ad colors.

4. Start a conversation with other blogs.

There are two ways to market your blog through other blogs: trackbacks and comments. Trackbacks are where you comment on something that is being said on another blog. Through the trackback link, you “notify” the other blog you have commented on a post.

With comments, you actually go to the blog and add a comment. If you don’t have your own website, this is an easy way to promote affiliate links.

Avoid what I call “ditto comments”. When you post comments on another blog, have something to say. Don’t post ads, especially if the ad isn’t related to the topic of the blog. They will only get deleted.

5. Use the same techniques that work to promote other types of websites.

Linking, search engine optimization, articles, and free classified ads are just some of the ways you can promote your blog. Promoting your blog is really no different than promoting any other kind of site.

In fact, blogs are easier to promote because you can submit your RSS feeds to RSS and blog directories. (RSS is a type of code that updates and lists your latest posts.)

If you want to build an easy website, or you want to get more from affiliate programs, blogs are the easiest way to do it. They’re fast, fun, and free.
