How To Be A Successful Marketer

PassiveLifestyleClubAffiliate Programs

The problem with most new online marketer today is that they are looking for instant gratification and they are not interested in learning to be a professional online marketer. Most of the people who join affiliate marketing are thinking of making big buck quickly and they thought that this business is just about placing pay per click ads with Google and people will start clicking on them and then purchase at the merchant website making them money easily.

People with this mentality will soon find out that they are having a lot of impression and clicks on their ads but zero sales wasting them a lot of money in their pay per click campaign. After a few days of similar situation, they will start to think that affiliate marketing is a scam and it does not work at all. After hearing so many stories from people who fail in this business, i have come to a conclusion that the problem does not lies in this business but it is how people understand about this business.

Therefore this article aims to shed some light on how anyone can be as successful in this business as those gurus out there if they understand what this business needs from them.

1) Build Your List: It does not matter whether you are selling your own product or selling other people product. The number one task you need to do is to build a list of people who are interested in the products or niche you are promoting. Do you know that most people who fail in this business are those who neglect the task to build their own list and they simply send people to the merchant website immediately.

The reason why anyone who are serious in this business should build a list is that it allows them to establish relationship with their subscribers and eventually it will reach a stage where the subscriber only buy from them and not other affiliate. I frequently have subscribers who asked if i sell a particular product because they prefer to buy from me and not from other people and this is the kind of trust that you need in order to be successful in this business.

2) Select Your Primary Traffic Generation Method: Once you have decided to build your list, the next step will be how to drive traffic to your squeeze page so that you can build a huge list. If you have read those e-books or watch those video from some of the affiliate program, they often tell you all several methods available but all you have to do is to select two methods that most suits you to use, preferably one free method and one paid method. Do not attempt to use all of them as you will not have time to do them properly and it is always best to be an expert in something then an amateur in everything.

3) Create A Converting Squeeze Page: Most people always think that they need a very beautiful squeeze page so that it can attract people to opt-in to their list. But do you know that my simple squeeze page has a conversion rate of 70% which means that 7 out of 10 visitors will opt-in to my list. This is because people are always complicating things and in fact simplicity is the word for this business. If you have the ability to make things simple and easy to understand, your visitors are more likely to be attracted to you.

Your squeeze page just need to be a clean one with an attractive headline telling your visitors about what you can do for them and a instruction statement to direct them what to do. That’s it!

Once you understand the importance of these three factors, you just have to master the skill to do them and you will see the rewards from your action. However you have to get rid of anything in your mind asking for instant gratification from what you are doing as they are your number one obstacle to success in this business. The faster you get of them, the faster you can grasp the concept of the whole internet marketing business.

Are You Suitable to Start Your Online Home Business

PassiveLifestyleClubAffiliate Programs

Being an online marketer is the dream work of most people because it can gives anyone ultimate freedom to do business with anyone they like, where they want and when they want.

The best part of this business is that it requires little startup capital to begin with and some of you can even keep your day job as a security and continue to do this business part time until the point when you earn enough income online to quit your day job.

However there are several factors that will determine whether you are going to be a successful affiliate or not.

1)Discipline: This is one of the most important factors of anyone who wanted to start their home business. There are times when people joins a home business system on impulse and later find out that they are not making any money from the business.

Most of the time, these people are not putting in any effort into the business as they thought that the home business system can run on autopilot and make them money simply by placing an ads somewhere and people will start to buy from them continually. I hope this is true but the hard fact is it is not true at all.

A home based business works exactly the same as any real business that you want to do, be it a franchise or what. It requires continuous advertising, marketing, monitoring and improvement on your side to improve the sales of your business. Therefore if you want to start your own home business, you must have the discipline to contribute a few hours every day to your business. If you can’t do that, i suggest you better stay where you are now and work for people because that is the minimum your home business needs from you to make profit.

2)Perseverance: This is the factor that those people who failed in home business lack in. A home business is like any real business you are doing and it requires time for it to be exposed to people through your ads and it requires time to build credibility in the market so that it can bring customers to you.

Most people think that they can make big bucks from the home business system that they have joined within a few day or a few weeks. It is sad to say that this does not happen as most successful home business owners actually started making money only on the third month of their business and eventually earn big bucks only on their eight to ten months.

These are the people who believes in what they are doing and focus on what they are doing. They put in consistent actions every day like clockwork and eventually they make a break through on the third months and eventually become what they are today. Remember this: Perseverance is the key to success in anything you do, be it home business, your career, your health and so on.

3) Minimum Startup Capital: For anyone to success in the home business, they must prepare a minimum sum of money to sustain their business for at least four to six months. The sum should include monthly fee of the home business system they join and advertisement costs. If you have tight budget, you can rely on free advertisement methods to advertise your business and there are some free methods that i am using when i first started my home business that are very effective and i am still using them now together with my other paid advertisement methods.

If you can commit yourself to these three factors, you can be a successful home business owner one day and lead a life of complete freedom and enjoyment. But if you think that you are not ready for it, you had better stay away from this business as you will definitely fail and end up wasting some money on it.

Monetize Your Blog & Make Money Online

KirkBennettAffiliate Programs

You have been working hard to produce good-quality, original content on your blog and you have attracted a decent amount of traffic by doing so. However, you want to make money online (a lot of it!) and the cash is not going to appear out of thin air just because you have traffic. You have to turn your traffic into money.

There are several ways to generate profits from the visitors of your blog, and Google’s Adsense program allows you to do so fairly easily. Visit their website (do a simple Google search for “Google Adsense”) where you’ll find out more about their advertising program, but here are some extra things I’d like to share with you.

First, Google’s Adsense program is a really useful way to monetize your blog because when users finish reading your newest post because chances are they want to leave your blog since they have nothing else to do there at the moment. If your Adsense advertisement block is visible on your blog, they might see advertisements relevant to them and click on them to exit your blog. Ka-ching! You’ve just cashed in on your first virtual cents!

But yes, your profits will only be cents if you don’t “do it right”. This involves placing your Google ads in the right places and ensuring they blend in to your site so that they appear more like links rather than advertisements to your visitors. You can also visit the Adsense program to view a “heat map” of your blog. The “hotter” a certain area, the greater the chances of someone looking at your blog.

Once you get a Google Adsense account, you can change the color of your advertisement text and links. You will want them to match the colors on your blog. If your blog’s text is black and the links are red, do the same for the ad blocks too! Pretty simple.

Another way to earn profits from your blog is to recommend products to your readers. When your visitors buy from the merchants you recommend, you get to keep a little commission too. This is known as affiliate marketing and it is very easy to start because you don’t have to create your own products or services.

Anyway, let’s refer back to our technological gadgets blog example. Let’s say you discover this Gadget X on a merchant’s website, and they offer an affiliate program. What you would do is to create a post in your blog and do a mini-review on this Gadget X. Rip it apart and point out its benefits and bad points, if any, and include a link (which is given by the merchant) for the visitor to purchase the Gadget X online.

If your visitor clicks and purchases the gadget, the merchant will track from the link that the purchase is referred by you, so they will send you your share of the profits. Imagine if 1 out of every 100 visitors you get purchases this product, and you earn $13.00 commission from each purchase! If you get 10,000 visitors in a month that would be a $1,300.00 payout for you just for writing about ONE product.

Now, affiliate programs are very nice ways to generate profit, but how do you find affiliate programs that are related to your blog’s theme? Easy, just go to Google and search for “your niche” and “affiliate programs”. Another way is to visit a site called “associate programs” to review affiliate programs in your niche.

The two ways mentioned above are basic ways to make money online with your blog.

The Key Connection - How Well Do You Know Your Affiliate Product?

jsladerAffiliate Programs

Do you know very little about the product you’re promoting on your website? Does this product only exist to you as a vague banner? Do you hope it has enough of a heartbeat to send dollars your way on its own?
Then you’re not doing enough to make your affiliate relationship a beneficial one. When you promote something ensure you talk about it intelligently. If you walk into a jeweler to buy a watch and ask the store owner about one, you expect them to be able to tell you its features. If they stare at you, shrug, and say “I don’t really know anything about it, I just get ‘em in and display ‘em.” Would you buy that watch? Of course not. You’re already headed out the door.

Visitors to your site do the same thing. It’s up to you to prevent them from doing that. You’ve heard the saying “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it”. If you don’t use the product you’re promoting, or at least attempt to learn how others use it, you’ll lose affiliate commissions. Using a product gives you first hand knowledge; enabling you to write effective copy to promote the product.

Okay, okay, you’re promoting lots of different products. You can’t possibly afford to buy and try every one of them. Fair enough! You can, however, ask around and find out information from people who are using the product. Talk to them. Ask them about the good and bad features of the product. It’s a worthwhile exercise. Summarize all that knowledge into effective information content for your site.

Another benefit of talking to users about the product is in gaining testimonials. A chit-chat with someone who raves about the product is half the work done for this project. Just write down what they’re saying, edit it, ask their permission to use their name and get it online. There’s no creative brainstorming needed. Listen to them and write!

Do you know anyone who’s an ‘in the limelight’ kind of person and using one of your affiliate products? Why not talk them up and get an endorsement from them. Someone others admire and respect add value to a product that they endorse for you.

If you write your own ads and informative content ensure you can back up your claims about the product. Customers hate nothing more than reading grandiose statements that prove unfounded when they try a product. It’s the “Where’s the beef” factor. If you promise it, it better be there. As an affiliate marketer, you are the platform for the product and your websites integrity rests on you making factual claims about it.

Read reports to gain more knowledge of the products you’re featuring on your site. Read different reviews to give you a well-rounded take on a product. You’ll read something you never knew or really understood about it. That information turns into an excellent selling point.

The key in all this is connecting with your product; knowing it inside out. This way, you target your efforts for promoting it. Write about its benefits and advantages over similar products. Highlight attractive features or various uses of the product. Give your visitors lots of information to make an informed decision about your affiliate product.

They will view your website as a trustworthy one. They’ll rely on it and come back for more. They will drive your affiliate income higher.

Affiliate Marketing Domination - Winning The Affiliate Wars!

DChampignyAffiliate Programs

Dominating affiliate marketing and becoming a super affiliate isn’t easy - it’s a real jungle out there in the affiliate marketing wars. Every other affiliate is also trying to make the sale - of the same product!

Since we were old enough to go to school, we’ve been pressured to fit in and be like everybody else. But now it’s time to venture out into new territory, be different and learn to be a winning competitor if you hope to succeed in affiliate marketing.

Unless you’re a true Type A personality, this means some radical changes for you - no longer worrying about fitting in, being ok with making people jealous of you, ignoring those who talk behind your back - all necessary qualities in every super-affiliate and most others who want to have successful affiliate marketing businesses online.

And because affiliate marketing really IS a business in it’s own right, first you have to make sure that you have your own website dedicated to your affiliate marketing promotions. This is vital as it allows you to build your own affiliate marketing opt-in lists and an avenue to promote numerous affiliate opportunities and products instead of promoting just one affiliate link at a time - and having to start all over again for the next affiliate promotion you push.

Next up, always avoid using the affiliate marketing promotional materials that are provided by the affiliate manager or merchant. You will find that you make more sales when you create your own material, including free gifts such as e-books and reports. Use the copy and e-mails provided as a basis for your own articles and blog posts, and study them for any great selling points that were missed - those are the type of points to really hammer home and separate yourself from the affiliate marketing wannabes…

While you promote affiliate products in your affiliate marketing promotions, be sure to promote your website and your opt-in list more than you promote anything else. Super affiliates use article marketing, pay per click ads, forum signatures, social bookmarking and other Web 2.0 methods to drive targeted traffic to their affiliate marketing websites and opt-in lists, then promote the specific affiliate products to their opt-in lists and on their websites. Remember - bring the traffic to YOU - THEN send it to them.

Once in a while, offer bonus gifts to those who purchase through your affiliate marketing links. You can create your own gifts, or use private label rights products. Most affiliates don’t do this, however most of the super affiliates do.

Save it for the more expensive affiliate marketing promotions though - it becomes less effective if you are constantly offering bonuses and, worse yet, you can end up like some who no longer get a buying response from their lists unless they offer some heavy-duty bonuses. If you condition your audience to always buying for the bonuses, you’ll see your affiliate marketing results dropping when you don’t have new bonuses for them.

Another powerful affiliate marketing tactic is to host teleseminars to promote affiliate products. Your teleseminars MUST give your listeners useful information that they can use - and must be on a topic related to the affiliate product you’re promoting. Don’t make the bulk of the call a sales pitch - not only will they hang up, but they’ll avoid your calls in future.

Give them good solid information, either on your own or through an interview, for 55 minutes of a 1-hour call, then use that last five minutes to direct them to the affiliate offer on YOUR affiliate marketing website. Get their opt-in and then funnel them through to the merchant’s salespage - and watch the nice bump you get in your affiliate marketing commissions!

If most of your affiliate marketing activities are in the same niche, write and submit articles on a regular basis. Get your name out there and become a recognized expert in your niche. Also make it a point to actively participate in related forums and newsgroups - always with a link to your site in your signature. As your name recognition and credibility grow, so will the profits you’re raking in from your affiliate marketing efforts!

In summary, always strive to do things just a bit differently to stand out from the rest of the affiliate marketing crowd, but don’t ignore any of the proven marketing methods just because other affiliates are using them. Use EVERY affiliate marketing strategy you can - just be sure to ALWAYS put your own spin on them!
